Nate Perry
Nate graduated from the Berklee College Of Music in Boston, MA and has studied with the likes of Mick Goodrick, Richie Hart, Bruce Bartlett, and Brett Willmott with local influences including Tony Gaboury, Tony Boffa, and Norman Richardson. His recording credits include The Nate Perry Duo Live, Volumes 1 and 2 – both of which are available upon request. Growing up in the Greater Portland area, Nate was very fortunate to be surrounded with local musicians and educators whose musical abilities were equal matched by that of their teaching. He was surrounded by many peers who inspired, challenged, and allowed him unlimited playing/learning opportunities; a philosophy he believes is essential to musical growth and community.
Scott Morgan
Scott Morgan is an established guitar player and teacher in the northern New England area. Scott attended the University of Southern Maine, graduating in 2002. He studied classical guitar with Keith Crook, and jazz guitar with Gary Wittner (as well as with local great Bob Thompson). In addition to these two disciplines, Scott developed a high level of proficiency on electric, arch-top, slide, and acoustic guitars.
Soon after graduation, Scott began to focus on writing, recording, and performing. He co-founded a band, “Tribe Describe”, and, in short order, they were performing in bars and at festivals throughout New England. One of the many highlights Scott experienced throughout his eight years with the band was opening for Peter Wolf of the J. Geils Band at a Portland concert. Tribe Describe released three CDs during Scott’s tenure.
In recent years, Scott has collaborated on projects with several highly talented local musicians, including Matt Fogg, Jaye Drew, Cheri Gaudet, Tracy MacLean, Brad Terry, Cool Shade of Blue, and many others. This work resulted in Scott’s considerable presence on three additional CDs.
Scott currently plays lead guitar for Jaye Drew and A Moving Train; their debut CD is scheduled to be released soon. Finally, Scott continues to teach music in the public school system in Chelsea, Maine.
