Rush Ensemble

From the Great White North came a band the likes of which few have seen. Three musicians, each a formidable player, formed a trio whose sum exceeded the total of its parts.

Anchored by the virtuoso drumming of Neil Peart, bassist Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson wowed listeners with breathtaking musicianship and innovative songwriting; they were pioneers in the realm of Prog-Rock.

Rush explored new areas of rock music bringing a rhythmic and harmonic sophistication seldom heard in the genre. Their songwriting largely turned away from traditional themes of heartache and loss – instead their songs took a narrative form with albums like 2112 exploring a bleak futurescape – and later writing songs with modern themes of angst and alienation in a post industrial world like Tom Sawyer and Subdivisions.

Rush’s career has spanned several decades and an impressive catalogue of songs and we hope to cover some fan favorites and a few lesser known gems as well!
